One of those shows features the world’s famous beagle as well as the rest of the Peanuts gang, heavily in tow.
It is probably the best treat to keep you cool during the hot months of July, August and September. Blockbuster Beagle!…on ice” is the coolest ice show around. This is not just an ice show of acrobatic moves and characters just mull around doing nothing to get you excited about.
“Blockbuster Beagle!..on ice” is a 30 minutes of fun and great entertainment as yours truly and his Peanuts clan of Charlie Brown, Lucy and Sally rescue the audience with up tempo, rhythmic dance numbers that delights. To some, an ice show is just another ice show. “Blockbuster Beagle!…on ice” is not one of those shows. The dancing and ice skating numbers are eye-popping with male dancers twirling their female counterparts like cherished flowers blowing in the wind and costumed dancers making a believer out of the doubters of what an ice show is all about.
The opening number came out with a bang as David Bowie’s “Fame” rang out loud and clear about the objective of the show. In the land of Hollywood, the show captures the imagination of Snoopy who wants to claim the fame of a celebrity. The beagle not only seeks the adoration of being a celebrity, he wants to bask in the glory of what it means to be a star.
The thing with attending a theme park as vast as Knott’s Berry Farm, it is easy to get lost in the other activities that consume guests. There’s the Ghost Town experience. Camp Snoopy is always around. Of course, visitors are aware of Knott’s Soak City and the high-octane, roller-coaster rides that thrill the teenage crowd. But new shows like Vertical Impact, Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies, Big Band Swingin’ and “Blockbuster Beagle!…on ice” add more to the layer of great Knott’s entertainment.
One of the aspects of the show the constant daring acrobatic lunges, twirls and flips that turn Blockbuster Beagle!…on ice” into a show that is quite spectacular to watch. Even for those who may not be huge ice skating fans will find the vastly entertaining show worthy of recommendation to others.
This looks like a keeper for the Knott’s management. Instead of savoring the show for the summer, “Blockbuster Beagle!…on ice” has every ounce permanent attraction attached to it. As Snoopy and his pals go Hollywood, Knott’s Berry Farm would do the giant beagle a favor by making the ice show a etched-in-stone fixture for the masses to enjoy now and beyond the summer.
