Attempted kidnapping in Buena Park

On Wednesday, March 30, the Buena Park Police Department (BPPD ) received a report of the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old child from San Marino Park (6200 San Rolando Circle, Buena Park). The incident occurred around 3 p.m., approximately 30 minutes after students from the adjacent San Marino Elementary School were released for the day. The child, who was waiting on a park bench, was approached from behind by an unknown male adult suspect. The suspect covered the child’s mouth with his hand and dragged the child a few feet away before the child was able to break free.

The child, who was waiting on a park bench, was approached from behind by an unknown male adult suspect. The suspect covered the child’s mouth with his hand and dragged the child a few feet away before the child was able to break free. It is unknown where the suspect went following the incident or if he was associated with a vehicle. The suspect pictured in the above sketch was described as a male white in his 40’s; 6’00” tall with a heavy build; with brown hair extending from a backwards red hat and yellow tinted mirrored black frame sunglasses; wearing a red short sleeved shirt with sports balls on the front, jean shorts with a bleach spot on the left leg, and open toe shoes/sandals; and having a short length goatee with a scab on his right cheek.
