Each year, Anaheim Beautiful hosts an annual Gala in June to recognize and honor those in the community who have gone above and beyond in service to Anaheim. These individuals and businesses have contributed to the beautification of the City in so many ways.
What: Anaheim Beautiful’s 47th Annual Gala—Rock Around the Clock
When: Wednesday, June 6, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Highway 39 Event Center, 1563 S. State College Blvd.
Here is the list of the 2018 honorees:
-Unsung Hero Award—Dan DeBassio, Anaheim Public Works
-Sally White Award—Kandee Beas, Community Volunteer
-President’s Award—Tom Tait, Mayor, City of Anaheim
-Sweepstakes Award—Rockwood Apartments, 1270 E. Lincoln Ave.
-Institutional Award—Eastside Christian Church, 3330 E. Miraloma Ave.
-Campus Beautiful—Cornelia Connelly High School, 2323 W. Broadway
-Historical Home Award—Laurie and Richard Crawford, 203 S. West St.
-Residential Property Award—Susan Semegran, 2216 E. Ward Terrace
-Commercial Property Award—Golden Road Brewery, 2210 E. Orangewood
-Thelma Scholarship Award Winner—Victor Garcia Baldera
As tradition has it, an opportunity drawing for a cash prize and a silent auction to help raise funds to support Anaheim Beautiful’s ongoing programs will be held.
