Based on a novel by Trinidadian-American writer Rosa Guy, this Oliver Award-winning musical weaves together elements from “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Little Mermaid” to explore the story of a young woman named Ti Moune who falls in love with a stranger from the other side of her island, Daniel, their communities divided by history, money and prejudice. What follows is a tale of tragic love, healing and hope with some divine intervention from the local gods.
