The Acacia Quilt Guild is holding an event at Legacy Hall in the Ehlers Event Center on Thursday, April 5 at 6:45 p.m entitled “Have You Ever Wondered How Fabrics Are Designed?”
Desiree Habicht, artist, fabric and pattern designer, and quilter will be the speaker. This will be an interactive lecture with lots of chances to ask questions. She will have some surprises for those in attendance too.
Bring your friends, whether they are quilters or not. This will be a fascinating evening as you will learn how fabric is designed and produced.
You will be seeing some of her original fabric designs, quilts made with Desiree’s designs—both patterns and fabrics. She will also bring a few of her outstanding art quilts. She will have some of her patterns for sale at the meeting too. Refreshments will be served and there will be a door prize drawing.
Ehlers Event Center is at 8150 Knott Ave. in Buena Park. Visitors must pay $3.
