Seven Buena Park High School football players announced their college intentions on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 4. Among those athletes making that announcement that was well-attended by the Buena High School student body and relatives of the football players, was star wide receiver Jaylinn Hawkins. Hawkins, an All-State and All-CIF selection, Hawkins declared that he was attending the University of California at Berkeley. Kevin Dixon will attending the University of Utah. William Latham is on his way to the University of New Mexico in the fall, while Ricky Wong is taking his talents to Oberlin College. Mathew Sifuentes, Max Rivera andMark Vargas all will be attendingTrinity International University, in Illinois.
