A carnival for hope

St. Pius V Catholic School eighth grade student body held their annual Quarter Carnival which took place on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The Quarter Carnival is an eighth grade service project at the school. The proceeds from this year’s carnival goes to the City of Hope. City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. The student body purchased tickets for 25 cents each to participate in activities such as arm wrestling an eighth grader, face painting, basketball toss, hula hoop toss, fishing for ducks, and Tic-Tac-Toe.
